Early Voting Begins Monday In Area City, School Elections

Voters throughout the area will begin making decisions in city and school elections when early voting for the Saturday, May 4, election date opens Monday, April 22.

Several decisions will be made on city councils and school boards, and there will be bond elections for some area school districts.

The City of Hillsboro will have the at-large Place 6 seat on the City Council, currently held by Jay Jolly, on the ballot. Jolly and Matthew Southard are both seeking the position.

Early voting for the City of Hillsboro will be at Historic City Hall, located at 127 East Franklin Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays from Monday, April 22, through Tuesday, April 30.

Election day voting will be in the same location from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
