The Penelope Independent School District will hold a $4,130,000 bond election on the Saturday, May 4, election date.
The bond proposal would fund construction of a new Career Technical Education (CTE) and physical education/athletic facility.
The package includes a CTE classroom and shop, exercise area, offices and restrooms. In a letter to community members, Superintendent Robert Bray said that the facility would be next to the gymnasium, eliminating the need for students to cross a city street and increasing safety.
